As we know, Corona virus pandemic has slowed down the Automobile segment along with all other segments worldwide, still automaker's work and plan to develop electric vehicles continues unabated. As per reports, almost 100 new electric models are set to debut by 2024 and this is a huge boost for those who looking for an alternate fuel vehicle in near future.

Here you can see some of the most anticipated EV Models over the next couple of years.

AUDI Q4 E-TRON







Audi is bringing Electric version of iconic Q4 as Q4 E-Tron. As we know Audi is under Volkswagen group and Q4 E-Tron will be built on the Volkswagen MEB modular electric vehicle platform. It will compete with the like of Tesla model Y, Volvo XC40 Recharge. Audi has not yet announced the driving range but as per reports, based on EU Test standard Q4 E-Tron has a range estimate of 280 miles.

Approximate cost as per reports is $45,000.

AUDI E-TRON GT 







Audi's new flagship model  E-Tron GT, shares the electric vehicle architecture that underpins the Porsche Taycan, an EV that also falls under the aegis of Volkswagen Group. Its powertrain is similar to Taycan but styling and infotainment system is Audi exclusive. All E-Tron GT Models have all wheel drive and front, rear wheel motors together produces a horsepower of 637 hp which accelerates the vehicles from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds.

As per available reports, Top speed is around 155 mph and estimated price is $75,000.

BMW i4







BMW i4 is the new addition from BMW to its EV Family and there are two versions available. First one is eDrive40, with 335-hp and rear-wheel drive, is estimated to have a range of 300 miles. Second version is all-wheel drive model M50 with a maximum of 536-hp promises sports-car performance and 0-to-60-mph acceleration in under 4 seconds and a range of 245 miles. 

As Fast DC Charging stations are available in public venues, i4 can gain a range of 90 miles in 10 minutes. Estimated price is $55,000-$66,000.

BMW iX









iX is BMW's new electric flagship SUV which designed from scratch and a showcase for BMW's latest technology. It's design is unique from conventional BMW concept with massive grille, squared-off steering wheel and wraparound floating touchscreen. The iX will produce 500 hp power from two motors to give it AWD capability, and will sprint from 0-62 mph in under 5 seconds. Range is claimed to be 300-miles, and can add 75 miles of range in 10 minutes of DC fast charging.

Estimated price is around $80,000-$100,000 EST.

FORD F-150 LIGHTNING

F-150 Lightning is the most anticipated EV Model by Ford and its a truck with prodigious power and strong work capability. It is offered with two configurations of 426 and 563 hp with standard range of 230 miles and extended range of 300 miles. F-150 Lightning claims up to a 2,000-pound payload capacity (standard range) and 10,000-pound tow capacity (extended range). It has power power plugs in frunk and bed, also familiar innovative technology from regular F-150 Model. 

Estimated price is around $40,000-$90,000.

GMC HUMMER EV



GMC has unveiled the all electric version of hummer HUMMER EV. General motor's Iconic gasoline Hummer model discontinued in 2010 and they have come back with an all electric version of Hummer. This Hummer EV will appear first as a pickup truck and later as an SUV. In available powertrain of Hummer EV, three electric motor together makes 1000 horsepower. It has an AWD System which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. Company is quoting a torque of 11,500 lb-ft from this powertrain. It has a range of 300 miles on single charge.

Estimated price is around $79,995-$112,595.

CADILLAC LYRIQ

Cadillac Lyriq is the introduction of futuristic styling for the brand and introduces a new modular EV Platform. Overall length and width is similar to Cadillac XT6 SUV, however it is 6 inch lower in height and has 9 inch longer wheelbase. Inside the cabin is a curved 33-inch LED display that stretches from the instrument panel all the way to where the infotainment screen is traditionally placed.

The initial version Lyriq is a 340-hp, rear-drive model with a 100 kWh battery which company claims a 300 miles of range. Estimated cost is around $59,990.

CHEVROLET BOLT EUV








Bolt EV is a small front wheel drive SUV, which features a clean and uncluttered styling. EUV is 6 inch longer than hatchback model and has a longer wheelbase. It shares same 200 hp motor of Bolt EV, with an estimated range of 250 miles. Super Cruise, the driver assist technology is a standout feature in new Bolt EUV.  Estimated price is around $33,995-$43,495.

KIA EV6








Kia EV6 is the first car of Kia build from the scratch it is the first in the series of upcoming EV Models from the automaker. EV6 will be powered by different powertrain configurations, with rear and all wheel-drive versions, and several motor combinations. It offers an acceleration of 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Fast charging stations enables the car to charge from 10 to 80 % in around 20 minutes. Estimated price is around $45,000-$55,000.

NISSAN ARIYA












Nissan Ariya is a promising SUV in EV Segment and a formidable competitor to models like Tesla model Y, Upcoming Ford Mach-E. Ariya will be available in two versions, a front-wheel-drive one-motor model with 2,015 hp and an all-wheel-drive two-motor model with 389 hp. Equipped with a long-range battery, the front-drive model and has an range of 300 miles. 
Estimated cost is around $40,000-$50,000.

Apart from the above mentioned EVs, models like Tesla Cyber truck, Rivian, Lucid air, Porsche Macan EV, Toyota bZ4X are some of the exciting and highly anticipated EVs expected to be launched in coming years.
